The Bay Tree Food Co Limited

www.thebaytree.co.uk
The Bay Tree Food Company was started in 1994 by Emma Sheldon and Lucie Green. Emma, a chef, had returned from travelling the world and met Lucie, a food hall buyer for Harrods. In their early twenties, they decided to start making chutneys and marmalades by traditional methods to produce superb tasting products with NO nasty artificial preservatives or additives. From their small beginnings in Emma’s mother’s kitchen, with Lucie presenting the products to companies such as Fortnum & Mason, and Harvey Nichols the company soon went from strength to strength. Their production unit is based in converted farm buildings in Somerset and maintain their strategy of only producing quality products with carefully sourced ingredients.
The Bay Tree have recently developed an exciting new range of condiment jellies to go with beef, lamb and sausages – and lots more, they are scrummy and just a bit different.
The range now includes chutneys, made by hand using only the finest ingredients, best sellers being caramelised onions and peppers with other interesting combinations such as ‘sunblushed’ tomato, spicy pineapple; and smoky pepper relish.
The marmalades are now mostly organic made from fresh oranges picked and made in Spain to ensure the freshest taste. (except the delicious Wild Orange Marmalade) They are traditionally made using no added pectin so have beautiful traditional flavours.
Cooking and pasta sauces with fantastic flavours and real ingredients – just those you would use at home – but already put together, so you don’t have to!
Their Dressings and Marinades have no emulsifiers or nasty ingredients and will enhance any salad, meat or fish menus.
They also now have an extensive range of gift products including stacking jars, sweet and savoury fruits and delicious jellies to complement meat and fish.
